The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented situation for people across the world. Not only are our daily lives being affected, but also our livelihoods. The American Quarter Horse Association is dedicated to providing members with information and tools to help them and their American Quarter Horses through this pandemic.

As an Association of horsemen and -women, we know a significant number of our members are professionals within the equine industry and small-business owners. If you are an equine small-business owner, we have compiled some resources to help you navigate the rapidly evolving situation.


AQHA leadership is closely monitoring the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health districts' reported information regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). Please refer to this page for up-to-date data regarding the current status of AQHA-sanctioned shows.


The AQHA racing team is providing updates for the racing community regarding industry changes due to COVID-19 concerns. Please refer to the COVID-19 Updates page for a compilation of industry notifications. Since this is a fluid situation, and changes happen rapidly, the page will be updated as quickly as possible, but may reflect some delays.
